The Teatime Sewing Co. is a small, independent bridal and alterations studio lovingly run by Sophie — a skilled seamstress with a passion for helping brides feel their absolute best on their big day. Based in Reading, UK, we specialise in bridal alterations and occasion wear, offering a warm, personal service rooted in quality craftsmanship and thoughtful attention to detail.

Sophie’s journey began in 2017 with a degree in Costume with Textiles, where she honed her technical skills in a creative, collaborative environment. From dressing actors in the West End to designing for dance companies and theatre productions, she developed an expert eye for fit, form, and finesse — qualities that now define her bridal work.

After graduating, Sophie returned to her home in Barkham, Berkshire, where she began transforming garments for friends and family. Word of her talent quickly spread, and what began as a small favour soon blossomed into The Teatime Sewing Co. Now based in Tilehurst, Reading, the studio has become a trusted local name for bridal alterations that elevate, refine, and perfect.
